Act 2, Quest 10: Lord of Lies
Quest: Lord of Lies
Now it’s time to finally remove Belial’s influence from Caldeum by taking the fight to the demon lord himself. Head across the bridge and re-enter the City of Caldeum after Leah blows the gates off the hinges. Belial’s corruption is seemingly very widespread, as about 75% of the townspeople turn out to be serpents in disguise when you approach them. Along the way to the Imperial Palace you will run into a large mob of serpents and demons and can be forgiven for not noticing a legendary enemy battling amidst the chaos. Unlike most legendary enemies, Kamyr is man sized. He looks a lot like the Pope, if the Pope wielded dual swords and dragged heathens before him with a giant hook. The hook is Kamyr’s special ability along with a ranged magic attack. Take out the mob surrounding him first so he is easier to target.
After Kamyr has paid for his blasphemy, head across the bridge to the Palace. The bridge is crossed by lines of fire that alternate in simple patterns. Take a second to time your crossing to avoid getting burnt. From this point, you must continue on to the Imperial Palace to fight the Lord of Lies alone, leaving behind Leah. Triumphantly slay Belial, and snatch his soul, returning it to the Hidden Camp. Talk to Tyrael to complete Act II and take the fight to Azmodan!
